Kris Stamatakos is the friendly face you’ll find behind the front desk, trimming the trees and cooking your breakfast.
An ever-friendly Canadian, Kris was born into a hospitality family. He grew up in his parents’ popular restaurant before moving on to work in some of Canada’s top eateries. Kris moved to Tauranga with his Kiwi wife Tracy and two kids in 2004.
Always up for a good chin wag (or “chat”, for you non-Kiwis), some customers come back to Colonial Court for the conversation alone! And if you are a returned guest, don’t be surprised by Kris’s memory. You’ll pick up right where you left off, and your favourite beverage might just be waiting for you in the fridge.
